Our staff are trained by Failte Ireland and offer a unrivalled service on the history, facilities and attractions in Cobh and surrounding areas. The office operates all year round and welcomes over 30,000 visitors per year from all over the world. Cork as a region has 2.7 million visitors and Ireland as country 9.6 million visitors per year.
The office is situated in Market House, behind the Lusitania memorial in Casement Square. The building is clearly sign posted while walking from the cruise terminal or train station. Market House building is full of history. Built in 1851 it was originally the Town Hall and later a court house. During the Lusitania tragedy in 1915 Market House served as a temporary morgue.
